I have always been attracted to snags, which is a standing, dead or dying tree, often missing a top or most of it’s smaller branches. As you walk through our forests, there is beauty and dignity as the tree continues it’s slow process of returning to the earth. This skag was discovered on a brief hike at Windy Point on the way to Mt. Lemmon.
It’s Mother’s Nature work of art. Mt. Lemmon is a fun day trip from anywhere in the Tucson valley. If you can get away during the week, you can escape the crowds. Especially in the summer time. Most winters, snow is less than an hour away. Please comment on what you love about our Sky Islands.
