Tucson’s downtown architecture spans the different influences blended into our city by cultures and available transportation. The colors often reflect the Spanish, Moorish, Hispanic influence. One of my favorite destinations is the Mercado District. This is my favorite house. You wonder what is hidden behind this beautiful doorway?
The colors all blend together to create anticipation. A friend of mine lives across the way from this row house. I need to ask her if she has met these people yet, better yet, been inside to see the architecture and colors waiting to be discovered. Unlike Santa Fe, Tucson doesn’t have a distinctive look. It adds to the surprise as to what you may discover.
